Making macarons

I knew it was going to be a challenge, but I never knew that these macarons were going to be so high-maintenanced and delicate...
They became totally flat and misshaped...guess I do not have the baking gene in me. However, I won't give up, I will give it one more chance!!! I think the most delicate part is when you are whipping the eggs but also when you blend the grounded almonds. Our macarons turned out to be very compact while the professional macarons should be quite airy...
