@ Holy Sweet

I found the cutest little café during this weekend in Östermalm, Stockholm (Artillerigatan 56). A dream coming true for a girl like me who are desperate about sweets. Holy Sweet focus on making beautiful desserts such as macarons and cupcakes. However, they are quite expensive! A cupcake costs 65 SEK (7-8€) and each macaron is 20SEK. Their macarons are amaaaaazing!!!!! I would say they were even better than Ladurre and Pierre Hermé!!!

We had chocolate cupcake (slightly dry) but the frosting was superjuicy and delicious! Champagne-peach macaron and Coconut macaron.

A must-visit! They are newly open so they haven't started serving coffee yet but will begin with it very soon. I feel like Marie Antoinette when sitting at this café.

Planning to NOT buy any clothes/accesories/shoes/makeup/other unnecessary stuff until April in Tokyo :-) Do you think I will make it!?

Work dinner @ Griffins Steakhouse

Spectacular dinner!!! I ate so much that I literally passed out...hehe
I ordered mini steak tartare in sesame and tati-sauce, a big tenderloin steak with fries and lots of different sauce, Rocky Road dessert. All this together with great red wine from Italy!

I was very surprised about this place, great interior - slightly similar to Grill.
The food was amaziiiiing, I loved the different oils, spices and sauces you receive together with the meal! Also we had free flow fries/mashed potatoes :-D Maybe that is the reason to why I passed out, literally matkoma (as we call it in Swedish)

Japanese Hot Spring

The first thing my Japanese collague told me when hearing that I was going to Japan for Easter was that I have to visit Japanese onsen - "hot springs". I have googled for soooo many hot springs and finally found one that looks PERFECT!!!!! It is about four hours away from Tokyo and tucked in a little small village. I can't wait to go there.
I am going to book this suite with private garden and private onsen (hot spring bath) - soooo romantic setting!!!

Inspiration and creativity

Inspiration. Creativity. Visit some random fashion blog and you will read those words ALL the time!!!!! Ever since these words have become household terms within the fashion circle, the general public have also started to associate these words with fashion and expensive products with extreme designs.

Currently I am reading the blogs of two fashion bloggers and it makes me slightly mad when they say "I met Olivia Palermo and she is such a big inspiration" or "Martin Margiela is such a creative and innovative fashion designer". Of course they are inspirational and innovative, but how inspirational and innovative are they really compared to R&D departments at let's say AstraZeneca or even at my index department where we regurlarly create new indexes and therefore also new job openings making world a much better place?





Creativity is not only limited to only fashion and furnitures.

Also, everytime a fashion designer or blogger use the word - inspire, I tend to associate the word with its real translation - copy.

Best Cappuccino

The best cappuccino in Stockholm can be found at Italiano on Birger Jarlsgatan, near Stureplan.
It only costs 28SEK compared to its peers who always charge at around 35SEK for a cappuccino. Since I am usually not a big coffee lover I tend to like creamy cappuccinos, and this one is über-creamy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Super-delicious.

Also sometimes at Italiano you also receive a piece of delicious chocolate to your coffee. Added value for sure.

Making macarons

I knew it was going to be a challenge, but I never knew that these macarons were going to be so high-maintenanced and delicate...
They became totally flat and misshaped...guess I do not have the baking gene in me. However, I won't give up, I will give it one more chance!!! I think the most delicate part is when you are whipping the eggs but also when you blend the grounded almonds. Our macarons turned out to be very compact while the professional macarons should be quite airy...

Rate of Return

This whole fall I have been busy working with a big change management project within our group at work. It has meant many extra hours at work since I have been partly responsible of the results, it also means that I have spent many late evenings/nights at work. However, now we are FINALLY done with this project that has taken many months and it turns out that my manager is very satisfied with my contribution and nominated me to a CEO Award within our global company :-)

Basically it means that our global CEO Robert that sits in New York, will announce my name in public when he is going through the annual report and that my name will be shown at a big display (LOL!!!), and that I get a bit of a bonus in my next salary, YAY!!!
Anyhow I feel so honoured, I have not even spent a year at my current job position and I already received this great recognition, it feels amazing and this keeps me motivated to always treat my job as a big part of my life. Success at work also means success in life (for me at least)!!!

My favourite macarons are from Laduree and Pierre Herme! I heard a rumour that Laduree is looking for service staff in Stockholm..if they were to open in Stockholm you know where to find me :-)

This is my absolutely favourite website for designer-shopping. It is like a big outlet for chic designer clothes with great discounts. I have bought clothes from here two times and it has worked wonders. They use DHL so you need to be at home or at work when you receive your package. Also if the clothes doesn't fit you can easily return it with DHL for free. DHL will come to your house or your work to pick it up!
